West Java International Airport (BIJB) Kertajati, Majalengka became 1 of 5 airports that received flight operational transfers from Halim . Airport Perdanakusuma which was closed in the context of revitalization.
Despite being one of the airports that received an abundance of flights from Halim Perdanakusuma, activity at Kertajati Majalengka Airport on Wednesday (26/1/2022) had not increased.
BIJB VP of Commercial and Engineering Kertajati Ari Widodo said that for now there has been no request from any airline regarding the flight transfer.
“Until now, there has been no request for a transfer from Halim, including which airlines and routes to go anywhere,” said Ari when contacted by detikcom via telephone.
Even so, according to Ari, Kertajati Airport is 100 percent ready to accept flight transfers from Halim Perdanakusuma which will be revitalized over the next 3.5 months.
“Kertajati is always ready to help accept any flight transfers, whether commercial, cargo or parking. In principle, the facilities are ready, the equipment is ready,” he explained.
“On the first day, there are still no cargo flights from Halim,” he added.
Ari also explained that his party was still waiting for direct information from the airline if anyone wanted to transfer flights to Kertajati.
“The point is that regarding the closure of Halim there has been no transfer to Kertajati. We hope that we will be informed immediately if any airlines are moved to Kertajati,” closed Ari.
