Oldenburg (dpa / lni) – A truck driver on the Autobahn 28 caused an accident with a blood alcohol concentration of 2.3 and then fought against taking blood for an alcohol test. A car driver could no longer evade when the 39-year-old truck driver suddenly swerved to the left at the Oldenburg-West motorway triangle, the police said. It stayed with the sheet metal damage, no one was injured.

When the accident was recorded, a breath alcohol test was used to determine a value of 2.3 per mille in the man, the police said. When blood was to be taken from him at the guard, he resisted it with hands and feet. He did not injure any police officers in the process. However, he is now being investigated for endangering road traffic and resisting law enforcement officers. The man was placed in the care of his employer, said a police spokesman. A replacement driver took over his truck.
