Pangandaran News (Harapanrakyat.com),- Residents of Jayasari Village, Langkaplancar District, Pangandaran Regency, West Java, independently repaired the Citenjo Bridge, Tuesday (11/1/2022). Repairs were carried out because the bridge often had accidents.
Elia Hidayat, Community Leader of Jayasari Village, said that the repair of this bridge is a form of community concern. Given the bridge that often takes victims due to damage and holes.
“Starting from the concerns of residents who often see accidents caused by damaged and perforated bridges. We took the initiative to repair the Citenjo Bridge voluntarily with a self-supporting budget,” said Elia.
According to Elia, the condition of the Cibatu-Ciwilis Highway is good. However, the bridge connecting the road is still damaged and there has been no construction.
“So together we tried to fix it by patching the holes along this bridge,” said Elijah.
Residents hope that the local government will soon build and repair the Citenjo Bridge. Improvements by society today are only superficial and temporary. So it probably won’t last long.
