Attendorn (dpa / lnw) – The Attendorn fire brigade has initiated a large-scale search for two senior citizens on the Biggesee. The fire department had been alerted because the pensioners suddenly disappeared while swimming in the reservoir, said a fire department spokesman. The police and fire brigade then searched the area around Waldenburg Bay for the missing persons. Divers and a helicopter were also used. However, it cannot be ruled out that the seniors simply climbed ashore or on a boat unnoticed and were in excellent health, said the fire department spokesman. Two children who were also missing on Friday at Biggesee reappeared undamaged after a short time.
