At around 8 pm on Saturday night, the fire service was notified of a car fire at Bråtaskogen by Bergsvannet in Holmestrand municipality.
A driver noticed that something was wrong while driving, and stopped the car. The driver got out and discovered that it was burning, Vestfold intermunicipal fire service writes on its Facebook page.
Before the part-time fire crews from station Sande arrived, the petrol car was overheated.
– We extinguished the fire quickly and waited for car salvage, says emergency manager Rune André Hansen.
No people were injured in the incident.
– The police patrol talks to the car owner and others who were present. A case is being created, they state on Twitter.
