Accidentally hit a motorbike from behind, a TNI member was killed by being stabbed

OKU TIMUR, KOMPAS.com – The murder of a TNI member with the initials Serka EM (45) in Sukaraja Village, Buay Madang District, East Ogan Komering Ulu (OKU), South Sumatra, Sunday (4/4/2021).

After killing TNI soldiers, DA, who was the main perpetrator, immediately surrendered to the Police OKU Timur and entrusted to the South Sumatra Regional Police on Monday (5/4/2021) morning.

Head of Public Relations of the East OKU Police, Iptu Edi Arianto, said the incident started when the victim Serka EM was about to enter his car. At the same time, the perpetrator suddenly passed by on a motorcycle.

Serka EM, who was backing the car with the number plate BG 1167 YM, accidentally hit the DA. The two of them were involved in an argument, and DA immediately took out a knife and stabbed the victim.

“The victim was taken by his family to the hospital, but died. The victim really is a member of the TNI,” said Edi via text message.

Edi explained that the perpetrators did not initially know that the victim was a member of the TNI. The DA, who was afraid, finally chose to turn himself in to the police after knowing the identity of the victim.

“His family suggested surrendering himself. The perpetrator is now entrusted to the South Sumatra Regional Police,” he said.

For his actions, DA was charged under Article 338 of the Criminal Code with the threat of imprisonment for 20 years.

“Now the perpetrator is still being investigated, the motive is that the victim did not like being hit by the victim’s car when he was about to retreat in front of the house. At that time the victim intended to put the car into the garage,” he explained.
