Oldenburg (dpa / lni) – Three people were injured in a rear-end collision on Autobahn 28 near Oldenburg. The motorway was closed for around seven hours from Monday afternoon at the Neuenkruge exit in the direction of Bremen, as the police announced. The alleged cause of the accident is suspected of being under the influence of medication.

According to police reports, the 40-year-old drove her car into a car in front of her without braking and pushed it in front of her until it crashed into the guardrail on the right. There was a 27-year-old and a 22-year-old woman in the car. All three involved came to the hospital. But no one was seriously injured, the police said.

Blood was drawn from the woman due to the possible influence of medication. In addition, the 40-year-old’s two cars and cell phone were seized as possible evidence. The lockdown lasted from around 4:30 p.m. to 11:30 p.m.
