Chengalpattu (Tamil Nadu): A sad incident has come to light from Chengalpattu district of Tamil Nadu. Let us tell you that on Tuesday there was a collision between a bus and a ‘container lorry’. During this period, 4 college students died. On receiving information about the accident, Melmaruvathur police reached the spot. They collected the bodies scattered on the road and sent them to the government hospital for post-mortem. According to the police, the students were traveling on the footboard of the bus at the time of the incident.
The students who lost their lives were between 19 and 21 years old.
This tragic accident happened near Maduranthakam on the Chennai-Tiruchirappalli National Highway. The reason behind the accident is said to be the bus trying to overtake the container lorry. According to the police, three students died on the spot in the accident, while one student died in the local hospital. All the students who lost their lives in the accident were in the age group of 19 to 21 years.

CM announced ex-gratia amount
Chief Minister MK Stalin expressed deep sorrow over this tragic accident. Along with this, he announced an ex-gratia amount of Rs 2 lakh each from the Chief Minister’s Public Relief Fund to the families of the deceased.
