Accident near Hohenstein reveals: no driving license, no insurance – Blue light news – Reutlinger General-Anzeiger

HOHENSTEIN. The Pfullingen police station is investigating a 36-year-old man on suspicion of endangering road traffic. He caused a traffic accident at the L249/Eglinger Straße intersection on Sunday afternoon. The man was driving his Ford with a trailer on Eglinger Straße from the direction of Buttenhausen at around 1:35 p.m. He drove into the intersection without paying attention to the traffic signs or the traffic on the state road, which has right of way.

A 68-year-old driver of a Mitsubishi driving on the L249 towards Ehestetten had no chance to react in time, so the two vehicles collided at the junction. While the person who caused the accident was unharmed, the Mitsubishi driver was slightly injured. His 65-year-old passenger had to be taken to hospital by the emergency services after receiving first aid with injuries of unknown extent.

The damage to the two vehicles and the trailer is estimated at around 20,000 euros. All vehicles had to be towed away.

As it turned out during the accident investigation, the 36-year-old did not have the driving license required to tow a trailer. His trailer was also neither registered nor insured. His car driving license was confiscated on the spot. (pol)
