Very early this Wednesday, April 24, 2024, a serious traffic accident occurred on the national road number 2 Macenta-Guéckédou. According to information that has not yet been confirmed by the local authorities, there have been several deaths and more than thirty injured.
It was at PK 30 between the sub-prefectures of Kondembadou and Tékoulo in the prefecture of Guéckédou that this accident happened.
Regarding the circumstances of the accident, we learned that it was a bus leaving for Conakry that lost one of its tires in a bend before ending its journey in a cemetery.
On the site, the authorities of the two prefectures are taking emergency measures. Some of the wounded were admitted to Macenta hospital and others to Guéckédou. And the ambulances move from the scene of the accident to the two health structures.
