In the early morning of Sunday, April 4, 2021, a self-accident occurred in Sihlstrasse in Zurich. The course of the accident is unclear. The Zurich City Police are looking for witnesses.
At around 2.30 a.m., several callers reported to our operations center that a car had been involved in an accident that was trapped under scaffolding. There was no trace of the driver or any vehicle occupants.
The exact course of the accident is currently unclear and is now being investigated by the Accident Technology Service of the Zurich City Police.
The fire brigade from Zurich Security and Rescue was called in to support and clear the scene of the accident. In addition, workers had to be called in to repair the construction site.
From Sihlporte towards the city, Sihlstrasse is temporarily closed for salvage work.
