Empoli, 6 November 2020 – Terrible fire in Fipili on the first morning of Friday 6 November. A tanker transporting combustible material burned due to an accident in the section between Empoli and San Miniato.
A dense column of black smoke remained visible for several minutes even from a distance. Several fire brigade teams from the detachments of Empoli, Petrazzi, Pontedera and Santa Croce, as well as through the Prato Command and the Nbcr (Nuclear Biological Chemical Radiological) nuclei of the Florence and Pisa commands.
No injuries were reported but there was a lot of fear among the motorists who were passing by and who looked at what was happening in terror. Traffic is blocked and there they are heavy repercussions for connections between the coast and the interior of Tuscany.
