Accident in Düsseldorf: the car hits the stroller with the twins

According to ongoing investigations, a Skoda driver (69) overlooked another car when he turned left from Kronenstrasse into Fürstenwall. Inside him was a 63-year-old driving his Ford on the Fürstenwall in the direction of Florastraße.

In the crash, the Ford left the lane on the right and pushed two parked cars to the curb. The 37-year-old was traveling there with her twins – and only moments later she and her stroller were hit by one of the parked vehicles.

The 37-year-old sustained minor injuries. “Although the car also hit the wheelchair, fortunately the two two-year-old occupants were left unharmed,” a spokesman for the Düsseldorf police said.

The Ford driver, 63, was taken to hospital with serious injuries. The 69-year-old Skoda driver sustained minor injuries. Investigations into the causes of the accident are still ongoing. (how)
