A 29-year-old from the Hof district was driving his car on the road towards Kornbach. He lost control of the car in a right-hand bend. He flipped over and landed on the roof. The driver managed to free himself. Another road user has finally alerted the emergency services and police, police reported on Sunday.
The person who caused the accident was taken to the hospital for tests. He was very drunk and, according to a quick test, had 1.1 per mille of alcohol in his blood. The car was totally damaged. The road between Gefrees and Kornbach was temporarily closed.
