A dramatic accident occurred on Friday noon in the Castres sector in the Tarn.
A father and his daughter, originally from Calvados and on holiday with the family in the region, were hit head-on by a dump truck coming out of a bend on the departmental road 622 between Castres and Brassac relates La Dépêche du Midi.
They were traveling in their vehicle when, for some reason, this dump truck coming in front of the bend deviated from its path.
The 74-year-old man and his 47-year-old daughter died instantly.
The driver of the dump truck, conscious just after the accident, was immediately taken care of by rescuers but he did not survive his injuries and was declared dead a few minutes later.
