An accident between a tram and a car occurred in Sofia on Thursday evening. “Emergency” informed NOVA that a 22-year-old man driving the car was injured in the crash. He has head, chest and shoulder injuries. He was admitted to the Sant’Anna hospital with non-life threatening injuries.
A line 20 tram was crossing a green light when the car appeared in front of it, attempting an illegal U-turn. According to witnesses who assume there was a race, the car was moving along Sitnyakovo Blvd. at high speed.
Emergency services were called at 21:52 and two ambulances were sent to the scene. Whatmanka was examined on the spot, refusing to be admitted to hospital.
