Accident at work: worker falls from 15 meters and dies – Chronicle

Carrara (Massa Carrara), 21 July 2021 – Un 54-year-old worker died this morning due to an accident at work in a company in Avenza in Carrara that produces machines for processing marble. According to what has been learned at the time, the victim would have fallen from a height of 15 meters. the alarm to 118 was given around 7.50. The carabinieri and ASL staff intervened on the spot with the health workers.

The man, residing in Massa, was changing the skylight in a shed. The worker is the owner of a sole proprietorship of fixtures and this morning he went to the shed – not currently used for production – to replace the skylight when he lost his balance and fell to the ground. The accident occurred inside a company that manufactures machines for processing marble. At 7.50 am the alarm was given to 118 but for the health workers who arrived on the spot there was nothing left to do but record the death. Carabinieri and ASL staff intervened for the findings.

The Municipality of Carrara announced the city ​​mourning and canceled the Blue Flag ceremony scheduled for this morning. Mayor Francesco De Pasquale is on his way to the company where the accident occurred. The dynamics of the accident have yet to be ascertained.
