A traffic accident occurred this Sunday, January 15 on the departmental road D417 between Chaumont and Biesles, more precisely at the entrance to Biesles, around 1:30 p.m.
A motorcycle collided with a car. The shock was quite significant and the biker, a man, was badly hit and injured. He had to be airlifted to the Dijon university hospital center where he was taken care of by the medical team. The driver of the vehicle, also a man, was less injured and was taken to the Chaumont hospital center. There were no other passengers in the vehicles involved.
The Chaumont and Biesles firefighters intervened with two ambulances, a roadside rescue vehicle, a nurse and an officer. The SMUR was also on site as well as the gendarmerie, in order to regulate the traffic, the time to evacuate the wounded, the vehicles and the relief. An investigation has been opened to determine the responsibilities of the accident as well as its exact circumstances.
