In Hong Kong International Race, 3 horses and 4 jockeys were injured after the horse and jockey fell. After the accident, 2 horses were euthanized.
A terrible accident occurred during the Hong Kong International Race held at Sha Tin Racecourse.
While turning the last corner, Amazing Star, returning from the middle lane, suddenly fell to the ground with jockey Lyle Hewitson.
4 JOKEY WOUNDED
Running after him, Lucky Patch and jockey Zac Purton were also unable to escape and fell to the ground. Four jockeys were injured in the accident that occurred as a result of the horses running from behind also hit the fallen horses.

Three of the jockeys were hospitalized, all reported well. While waiting for the recovery of two horses injured in the accident, two horses were euthanized.
The remaining eight horses finished the race. Sky Field and jockey Blake Shinn finished the 1200 meter run ahead.
The Hong Kong Jockey Club announced that the award ceremonies will be simplified for the remainder of the race day and the national anthems will not be played.
