This morning, September 26th, 2021, an intoxicated driver crashed into the crash barrier on the A1 near Lenzburg.

The 35-year-old was driving an older BMW on Sunday morning, September 26, 2021, on the A1 towards Zurich. Shortly after 7:30 a.m. he lost control of the car near Lenzburg. This turned to the right, where it initially collided with the guardrail. As a result, he crossed the carriageway and then crashed into the central barrier. There the BMW came to a standstill, badly damaged.
The handlebars remained unharmed. However, the Aargau canton police found that he was drunk. Because there was also suspicion of drug influence, the public prosecutor ordered a blood and urine sample. The police took away his driver’s license.
