Putri was treated at a hospital in Karawang due to acute gastric acid she was suffering from. On Tuesday (31/05/2023), Putri shared her experience using the National Health Insurance Card, the Healthy Indonesia Card (JKN).

“I have health insurance, that is, I am registered as a JKN participant from the office where my husband works. Alhamdulillah, being a member of JKN is one of the things that my family and I are most grateful for. We have experienced many benefits since becoming JKN participants, including now that I am being hospitalized due to acute stomach acid,” said Putri.

Putri explained that at first she felt discomfort in her stomach, such as bloating and pain to the pit of the stomach. Then armed with a JKN card, he checked himself at the First Level Health Facility (FKTP) where he was registered.

Immediately at that time immediately examined by a doctor and given medicine. After a few days it turned out that Putri’s condition was getting worse, which required her to return to the health facility. The doctor checked Putri’s condition again and stated that I had to be referred to the hospital, because I needed further treatment.

“The service I received was very good, starting from the medical staff to the staff at the BPJS Kesehatan office. I admit that they are responsive. In my opinion, the most important thing is that participants or their families must actively find out information related to procedures for using the JKN card,” said Putri.

He also added, because when I understand the procedure, then everything will definitely run smoothly. When I myself get services at the hospital, I try to follow the BPJS Health service procedures.

Participants come to the FKTP where the participant is registered and follow the health service procedures, showing the JKN/KIS Digital participant identity card with active status and/or other identity (KTP). Then JKN participants obtain health services at the first level of health facilities where participants are registered.

After receiving the service, participants signed the proof of service on the service proof sheet provided by each FKTP. For medical indications, if participants require advanced health services, participants will be referred to Advanced Level Referral Health Facilities (FKRTL) in collaboration with BPJS Kesehatan, according to an online tiered referral system.
