Access problems to the Jakarta International Stadium parking lot (HE) was highlighted ahead of the selection of the stadium for the U-17 World Cup. Responding to this problem, Minister of Public Works and Public Housing (PUPR) Basuki Hadimuljono plans to check JIS.

The check will be carried out after he coordinates with the general chairman of the Indonesian Football Association (PSSI) Erick Thohir. Moreover, according to information, FIFA will also come to check on JIS.

“The Ketum PSSI said that FIFA will come again to check, I don’t know when FIFA will check. I will contact and coordinate with the Ketum PSSI first, hopefully now I can join in to do the checking,” he said at the Ministry PUPR, reported by Antara, Thursday (29/6/2023).

In addition, Basuki said, his party was ready if JIS needed to be renovated. Especially regarding access and parking lots which are currently in the spotlight and are crucial.

The experience of Dewa’s previous music concerts at JIS shows that concertgoers experience difficulties when they return home from JIS.

“I will coordinate with him (PSSI General Chair) as soon as possible, if it really needs to be renovated, renovated,” said Basuki.
