Riga, Nov. 1, LETA. The acceptance of recordings for the annual music recording award “Golden Microphone” has started today, the award representative Gunita Strazdiņa informed LETA.

She said that the records must be submitted by December 2, inclusive. All entries issued between December 2, 2020 and December 1, 2021 will be accepted for evaluation.

According to Strazdiņa, despite the tense time, we received a record number of applications last year – 561 applications were submitted, which is a record for all 25 years of the “Golden Microphone”.

This year, the organizers of the “Golden Microphone” award, the Latvian Association of Sound Record Producers, Publishers and Distributors (LaMPA), have decided that musicians will be able to submit two applications for the “Golden Microphone” award free of charge, but the registration fee for each subsequent application will be 25 euros.

Also this year, musicians can submit records electronically using one of the file exchange servers, send via “Omniva” parcel terminal or submit in physical format at LaMPA office in Riga, Aisteres Street 11. Recording submission procedure, application form, regulations and other information are available on the website “zeltamikrofons.lv “.

It is planned that the ceremony of the annual award for music recordings “Golden Microphone 2022” will take place on February 26, 2022.
