Given the warning of possible cases of the EG.5 variant in the country, the Ministry of Health (Minsa) continues to bring closer and accelerate the rate of vaccination to protect more people against covid-19. For this, the brigades of the Directorate of Integrated Health Networks (Diris) Lima Centro toured the exteriors of the Basilica Santuario Santa Rosa to complete the doses of visitors.
Starting at 8 am, the health personnel also vaccinated children, youth, and adults against hepatitis B, tetanus, influenza, and pneumococcus.

The executive director of Immunizations of the Minsa, María Elena Martínez Barrera, recalled that adults over 60 years of age should be placed with the booster doses of the bivalent vaccine.
“The Minsa deployed brigades outside the Santa Rosa Basilica to reinforce vaccination. Remember that people over 60 years of age should receive a booster dose of the bivalent vaccine four months after receiving the first one. In the case of immunocompromised people, the interval is two months, ”he said.
Likewise, he explained that people under 60 years of age without comorbidity can receive the bivalent dose two months after their last monovalent vaccine. For more information about the vaccination centers closest to your home, you can call Line 113, option 3.
