Accel Co., Ltd. (Headquarters: Shibuya-ku, Tokyo, Representative Director: Toshihiro Okamoto) has announced the launch of OnTime Group Calendar for Microsoft (hereinafter referred to as OnTime for Microsoft), a high-speed group scheduler that works in conjunction with Microsoft 365, Microsoft Outlook, and Microsoft Teams. Ver.6.1.0 was released on Wednesday, March 6, 2024. This release focuses on two functional improvements to further improve user convenience. In addition, we will incorporate the latest features of various manuals (instruction manuals) as quickly as possible and integrate them into online manuals so that they can also be used as help functions.

■Extension of customization function of “Name format”
“Name format” is user information consisting of three lines that is displayed along with the name in the main view and user search. Previously, it was possible to prepare multiple “name formats” for each language, and by using Exchange custom attributes, it was possible to use Japanese and English names not only for names but also for departments. For each line from 1 to 3 when displaying, you can specify one attribute that you want to display from Microsoft 365 contact information. However, we have received requests for issues unique to Japanese, such as displaying classifiers (floor, first name, etc.) and arranging departments and positions. From this version, if you select “Advanced formatting”, you can now combine multiple attributes and add fixed character strings such as fractions. As a result, you will be able to express department and position, conference room name and capacity, building name and floor number in an easy-to-understand format even in one line.

■Expansion of direct open URL function
OnTime for Microsoft Teams, a standard feature of OnTime, has traditionally been able to dynamically select only team channel members and display their schedules within Microsoft Teams, as well as use various OnTime features. As a further request, we received a request to launch the OnTime client, which is made up of designated members, just like OnTime for Microsoft Teams, from applications other than Microsoft products, such as various CRMs, Slack, and Zoom. From this version, we have expanded the function to specify various parameters after the URL to open the OnTime client so that it can be used in various situations including the above. The parameters that can be specified are as follows.
1. View design (view type, number of display days, start/end time, weekend display, etc.)
2. Members to display in the view (multiple user addresses or existing display groups)
3. Express month and day
4. Create new event, edit existing event
This allows you to use it in a variety of situations, as shown in the example below.
1. Specify Slack channel members, start OnTime, and generate a usable URL
2. Embed OnTime as a list of available conference rooms on the portal site of each office
3. Prepare a button that always displays the schedule of related members for two days before and after the event.

OnTime Group Calendar Direct Shop is in the process of integrating the help function that can be opened from the OnTime for Microsoft client and various manuals provided as PDFs into online manuals. This allows you to update only the relevant pages when new features are implemented, making it easier to keep the manual up to date. Furthermore, we expect the following benefits from going online.
