Acapulco City Council Announces Universal Vaccination Day Starting January 15

The Acapulco city council announced the universal vaccination day starting this coming Monday, January 15, in the limits of the Cumbres de Llano Largo neighborhood.

It will be the staff of the Municipal Health Directorate, who will be integrated into the brigades to tour the neighborhoods of Acapulco applying doses with tetanus, hexavalent and Covid-19.

The director of the agency, Aniceto Leguizamo Dimas, said that this benefit will be free for the entire Acapulcan population, so he asked people to consider attending the modules that will be installed in the neighborhood, community and housing units.

“It also seeks to bring various services closer to the population, therefore, the area staff works through prevention and education actions, around the public health that is required at this time,” he expressed.

He explained that tetanus, hexavalent and Covid-19 vaccines will be applied, in addition to the seasonal influenza vaccine for children from 6 months to 5 years, people over 60 years of age, pregnant or breastfeeding women and the population between 5 and 69 years of age with comorbidities or chronic diseases.

The municipal official reiterated that the activities are carried out in accordance with preventive health measures, anyone included in the aforementioned risk groups can attend.
