Académico de Viseu hosted and beat Benfica B 1-0, this Sunday, in the game that ended the season. 10th round of the II Portuguese Football League.
André Clóvis, who was the top scorer in the II League last season, with 28 goals, scored his first goal in the 2023/24 edition of the championship at the end of this afternoon and it was enough to decide.
The goal, in the sixth minute, was Clóvis’ second this season – the other was in the Portuguese Cup against Lourosa – and also allowed Ac’s second victory. Viseu in the championship, interrupting a sequence of six rounds without victories.
In the classification, Académico de Viseu reaches 11 points and rises to 13th place, equaling Benfica B, which has 11 points and is 14th. Penafiel and Leixões also have 11 points, in 15th and 16th place, respectively.
This Sunday, the Marítimo won in the visit to Leixõeswith there still being Tondela’s triumph against Vilaverdense and null in Torreense-Mafra.
