/ world today news/ The attempt to impose a second official language is an old strategy of the Republic of Turkey to interfere in the internal affairs of the Republic of Bulgaria.
Ankara created two parties, DOST and that of Kasim Dal, which are not Bulgarian political forces. They serve the Republic of Turkey as a fifth column. The Ministry of Foreign Affairs must immediately deliver a sharp note. It cannot be pretended that the Turkish propaganda in Bulgaria does not inflict its defeats. They want a second official language. When was that, except during the Ottoman Empire.
These actions by Turkey are in agreement with the infamous “Islamic Arc” that Recep Erdogan has extended. Initially, under his former prime minister and foreign minister, Ahmet Davutoglu, it included Bosnia and Herzegovina, Albania, Macedonia, the Rhodopes, Western and Eastern Thrace. And Erdogan continued it north all the way to Razgrad and Targovishte. The then foreign minister Mitov said don’t pay attention to him, it was an emotional reaction and an outburst during a rally in some Turkish city.
This is not about emotion, but about a neo-imperial strategy – neo-Ottomanism. Official Turkish authorities have gone so far as to threaten the Netherlands, Germany, the European Union and even the United States. This shows that very dangerous events are happening in the Republic of Turkey. There is a threat near our borders.
10 years ago I said that Turkey would leave NATO. Neo-Ottomanism prevents Turkey from complying with the demands of the alliance. We can no longer rely on NATO, we must build our own defense, rebuild our army and strengthen the border, because the threat comes from Turkey.
One of the most important links in the “Islamic Arc” is Albania, where Prime Minister Edi Rama recently came out with a platform that envisages the Albanian language becoming official in neighboring Macedonia. Here we see where such demands lead in the Balkans. Turkey has great economic, political and military influence in Albania. Albanian flags fly in Tetovo, Albanian is spoken in the parliament, and Macedonians are forced to put headphones in their ears. Are we going to get her there to put on headphones?
Things are not going well and we should not turn a blind eye. For the first time, there is a geopolitical rapprochement between Turkey and Russia. Bulgaria has recovered as a country as a result of this age-old geopolitical clash during the ninth of a total of ten wars between these two empires. Russia and Turkey today are isolated and for this reason they are getting closer, but where are we?
The president and the foreign minister must state that such actions by Turkey are unacceptable. We must not sacrifice national interests for Grand Bazaar-style bills. Turkish companies are showing interest in important infrastructure sites, including Sofia Airport. Read “Strategic Depth”, there Davutoğlu said it, the Turks will not come with the scythe this time, but will step in economically, religiously and politically. Thus, Ankara will regain its positions in the old boundaries of the Ottoman Empire, which has been defunct for almost a century. Unfortunately, politicians don’t read. /BGNES
