It was officially announced last Saturday Assassin’s Creed: Mirage, the next installment in the popular Ubisoft series. At the same time, digital distribution shops appeared product data sheets. Some of those she suggestedthat the title must contain “real gambling”. The French publisher has decided to correct these reports.
The aforementioned annotation relating to the age group Assassin’s Creed: Mirage could be found in the Microsoft Store. According to the information provided there, the US-Canadian organization ESRB estimated that the title should only be intended for adults, because it will contain elements such as violence, partial nudity and real gambling. This may suggest that we run into lootboxes in the game.
In connection with this situation, Ubisoft issued a statement (also for the website GamesIndustry.biz), in which he denies it AC: Mirage it had to have gambling-related mechanisms. According to him, even the age category itself is not correct. At the moment, it doesn’t look like we’ll see a box with a random loot in the title.
After the announcement Assassin’s Creed: Mirage on Ubisoft Forward, some stores were incorrectly displaying the “Adults Only” pre-order classified by the ESRB and it has now been fixed. While Assassin’s Creed: Mirage still awaiting evaluation [ostateczną – dop. red.], Ubisoft wants to assure players that there are no gambling or lootbox games in production.
