AC Milan did not renew the contract Zlatan Ibrahimovic. Rossoneri will pay tribute to Ibracadabra on day final Liga Italy 2022/2023.
Ibrahimovic’s contract at Milan ends on June 30 2023. The 41-year-old previously joined in 2020 and managed to bring the Scudeto to San Siro.
Ibrahimovic’s performance at Milan took a nosedive after struggling with injuries. He has only made 4 appearances this season for a total of 144 minutes on the pitch.
Zlatan Ibrahimovic even still injured ahead of the closing match of the 2022/2023 season. AC Milan coach, Stefano Pioli, did not include the player in the last match against Hellas Verona at San Siro, Sunday (4/6/2023) evening WIB.
It was Ibrahimovic’s health condition that ultimately prevented Milan from extending his contract. Ibracadabra will say goodbye to the fans at the San Siro after the Milan vs Hellas Verona match.
“AC Milan will be bidding farewell to Zlatan Ibrahimovic with a short ceremony involving the entire audience,” said a spokesperson for the club, who spoke on condition of anonymity. Reuters.
“AC Milan would like to thank Zlatan for the great seasons we spent together.”
Milan began looking for a replacement for Ibrahimovic for next season. One of the targets is the Bologna striker, Marko Arnautovic.
Zlatan Ibrahimovic career in AC Milan in two periods in 2010-2012 and 2020-2023. He collected 93 goals and 35 assists from 163 matches in all competitions.
