“AC Milan secures Champions League spot after beating Juventus 1-0 in Italy League”

AC Milan managed to beat Juventus 1-0 in continuation Italy League. This result makes the Rossoneri lock a ticket to the Champions League.

Juventus vs AC Milan took place at the Allianz Stadium, Monday (29/5/2023) in the morning WIB. Milan’s winning goal was scored by Olivier Giroud in the 40th minute.

Milan is now firmly in fourth position with 67 points. At the same time ensuring themselves to be the last contestant to win a ticket to the Champions League.

Juventus are in seventh position with 59 points. The Bianconeri had to bury their hopes of appearing in the Champions League because they couldn’t overtake Milan’s points with one match remaining.

Course of the Match

AC Milan first threatened Juventus in the first 10 minutes. There was a Rade Krunic header and Junior Messias’ shot which still didn’t aim at goal.

Juventus released the first attempt in the 12th minute through Juan Cuadrado. However, the ball released by the Colombian winger from outside the penalty box went wide.

The Bianconeri are slowly pressing Milan all the time. There was an attempt from Moise Kean in the 31st minute which goalkeeper Mike Maignan could still contain.

AC Milan could even lead 1-0 first in the 40th minute. Davide Calabria’s cross was met by Olivier Giroud’s header and the score lasted until halftime.

Juventus tried to find a goal in the second half. There was an attempt from outside the penalty area which was released by Adrien Rabiot in the 54th minute, but Maignan was able to anticipate the ball.

Milan threatened in the 68th minute. Alexis Saelemaekers fired a shot from inside the penalty box, but the ball was still blocked.

Juventus struggled to find goals. Various ways to launch attacks were carried out, but Milan could defend well.

No goals throughout the second half. Juventus must be willing to accept Milan’s victory with a score of 1-0.
