Italian League News: AC Milan began to make contact with Lazio midfielder, Sergej Milinkovic-Savic. The player from Serbia is the main target if he qualify for the Champions League.
The latest Daily Milan reports, Paolo Maldini and Ricky Massara have outlined their strategic plans for the summer, where they have also started contacting several player agents to arrange transfer missions in the summer.
If Milan do qualify for the next edition of the Champions League then the plan is to make two investments in top players and then sign a third player who is younger and with potential.
One of these signings is a central midfielder, and Sergej Milinkovic-Savic’s name is at the top of the AC Milan management’s wish list for next season.
Milinkovic-Savic himself has been with Lazio since 2015 and his current contract ends in 2024. Maldini and Massara have made their move first and have been in contact with his entourage.
Carlo Pellegatti, a well-known journalist and also one of the Rossoneri fans who often provides the latest updates about Milan, spoke about the Serbian midfielder on his YouTube channel.
“How fun! Milan know to develop they need three players. In midfield his name is just that (Milinkovic-Savic).” said Pellegatti regarding rumors of Milinkovic-Savic’s transfer to Milan.
The report states Milinkovic-Savic’s transfer fee will be as high as 40 million Euros. But because of the revenue that will come from the Champions League, Maldini and Massara will find it easier to execute their transfer strategy.
