Given the option, Franck Kessie would rather stay at AC Milan rather than move to another club and start over.
The 24-year-old made this clear in an interview with Gazzetta dello Sport, even if he has piqued the interest of English Premier League clubs like Arsenal and Tottenham Hotspur.
“I am proud to have chosen Milan and it is not my intention to leave. Rather, I want to stay forever, ”Kessie said.“ I just want Milan; Maldini and Massara know my thoughts. I like it so much when the ultras sing: ‘a president, there is only one president …’. Well, I want to be for life. “”
But despite his desire to remain at AC Milan, his future may not be in his hands.
Considering he’s coming off an impressive season with I Rossoneri, it’s no surprise that the Gunners and Spurs have their eye on the Ivorian.
Last season, Kessie scored 14 goals and provided six assists in 50 appearances in all competitions for AC Milan.
He has only one year left on his current contract with I Rossoneri, and this is seen as the reason why speculation is growing about whether or not he will stay at the San Siro.
As of this writing, AC Milan has not touched on Kessie’s situation and is currently seeing action for the Ivory Coast at the Tokyo Olympics.
