Most of the patients were defenders, so Pioli as the coach was having a headache when formulating the team. The team’s performance has declined because of the last 10 matches since the beginning of October, Milan have only won twice, one each in the Italian League and the Champions League.
Milan is still in third place in the Serie A standings, but has only won once in its last five matches and is six points behind Inter Milan at the top.
The hammer of judgment will be on the final matchday of the Champions League because Pioli will reportedly be fired if Milan fails to advance to the next phase. Because Milan will lose more than 100 million euros in income which could be useful for building a strong squad next season.
