AC Milan achieved a 1-0 victory over Genoa in the Italian League continued through a goal from Christian Pulisic. This match was also marked by red cards for the goalkeepers of both teams.
From Genoa vs Milan held at the Stadio Comunale Luigi Ferraris, Sunday (8/10) early morning WIB. The first half ended in a goalless draw.
Milan only broke the deadlock in the 87th minute through Christian Pulisic’s kick. Drama then occurred near the end of the match.
Mike Maignan received a red card for fouling Caleb Ekuban. Because Milan had used all the substitution slots, Olivier Giroud finally became goalkeeper.
Genoa goalkeeper Josep Martinez then also received a red card. In the 10 vs 10 position, Milan was finally able to maintain its lead until the match ended.
Thanks to this victory, Milan rose to the top Italian League standings with 21 points. Meanwhile, Genoa is in 14th place with eight points.

AC Milan immediately posed a threat from the early minutes. Chukwueze stabbed from the right and sent a cross to Okafor. But the ball was secured by Josep Martinez.
Musah entered the penalty box and released a pull pass to Reijnders. Reijnders fired the first time kick, but Martinez was repelled with his leg.
After being goalless in the first half, Milan brought on Rafael Leao and Christian Pulisic to add to their attacking power.
Milan almost scored a goal in the 65th minute. Florenzi fired a pass to the far post which Leao continued with a header. The ball was pushed over by Martinez and hit the goal post.
Maignan made an important save in the 76th minute. Dragusin fired a shot which hit Reijnders and changed direction. Luckily for Milan, Maignan was still alert to block the ball with one hand.
Milan finally broke the deadlock in the 87th minute. Christian Pulisic broke through Genoa’s goal to put Milan ahead 1-0.
Yunus Musah sent a pass into the penalty box to Pulisic. Pulisic controlled the ball before turning his body and firing a volley. VAR checked Pulisic’s suspected handball, but in the end the goal was still awarded.
In the final minutes of injury time, Mike Maignan received a red card for violating Ekuban right in front of the penalty box. The referee made this decision after checking VAR.
Because Milan had used all the substitution slots, Olivier Giroud finally put on gloves to become goalkeeper. Genoa, who received a free kick, almost scored a goal back, but the ball hit the crossbar.
Genoa goalkeeper Josep Martinez then also received a red card after receiving a second yellow card. Both teams must complete the match with 10 players.
Olivier Giroud made important saves in crucial minutes. Giroud bravely left the goal line to stop Genoa’s attack and secure Milan’s three points.
