AC/DC have completed their tour. What next? – News

However, the band is still very popular and fans would love to see them record another album and tour. After all, more than a million and a half tickets were sold in advance for the European tour that was just completed in one day. AC/DC played twenty-four shows in seventeen cities.

On the previous Rock or Bust World Tour from 2015 to 2016, a surprising situation occurred. Due to hearing problems, singer Brian Johnson retired during the busy concert series on doctors’ advice. His role at more than twenty concerts was taken over by W. Axl Rose, the singer of the American Guns N’ Roses. In May 2016, he also performed in Prague’s Letňany at the group’s last stop here.

Due to the pandemic, the band was unable to tour to promote the November 2020 album Power Up Afterwards, the line-up began to fall apart and it was unclear who belonged to the group still and who wouldn’t play with him anymore. She returned to the stage only in the second half of May this year, when she gave a concert in Gelsenkirchen, Germany.

The touring series featured guitarists Angus Young and Stevie Young, singer Brian Johnson, bassist Chris Chaney and drummer Matt Laug. This was Chaney’s first appearance with an Australian group.

However, responses to the entire tour and the final European show in Dublin were generally positive. Therefore, fans and the whole music world are now waiting for information about what will happen next with the band. But she has not yet officially announced what her plan is and whether she intends to continue the tour on other continents, and that is the most likely option.

All that is known is that on September 27, at the time of her fiftieth anniversary, which fell last year, her last six studio albums will be released on special gold vinyls, closing this edition.
