The tickets from 50 to 400 BGN at the National Theater for the performance with the participation of the star John Malkovich became the occasion for a wide public debate.
The actress Gergana Stoyanova admitted that she was very surprised by the discussion that flared up on social networks.
“Who is obliged to explain to you why the tickets are so expensive? AC/DC asked to have a room for sex (NB – their concert in Bulgaria was in 2010). You have no right to reveal the contract. Snoop Dogg wanted a computer game in the hotel room to play. In the end he booted the game and the organizers had to pay for it,” she commented to Bulgaria ON AIR.
“No one forced you into the theater. If you want to watch, you go to watch. The 400 BGN tickets are a very elegant way for the director to make a kind of sponsorship. There is no need for the state to contribute, let’s fix the salaries in the theater first. I don’t like this hate that is being poured out left and right,” insisted Stoyanova.
According to her, the theater class is the most vocal.
“Why doesn’t the music industry protest when a big band comes and the tickets are between 90 and 500 BGN? Music fans never comment on the price,” the actress pointed out.
