AC Ajaccio was quick to react to the CNOSF’s decision to reject the request of the Corsican club, Troyes and Clermont. The clubs mentioned wanted to play the Ligue 2 play-offs in July. A decision which, unsurprisingly, does not satisfy the club chaired by Christian Leca, who decided to immediately seize the Council of State.
The press release:
AC Ajaccio has taken note of the opinion issued today by the CNOSF, which does not satisfy us. Indeed, we have noted several arguments which do not appear to us to be decisive. We maintain that AC Ajaccio is intended to evolve next season in Ligue 1. We note, however, that the conciliators have raised the notion of loss of chance, which in law opens the door to partial compensation. We will therefore immediately seize the Council of State of an appeal so that our rights and sporting fairness are respected.
