After the tape became known in which the late justice section chief Christian Pilnacek made allegations against the ÖVP, Tyrol’s FPÖ leader Markus Abwerzger threw the coalition rod in the window of the People’s Party. “Those who remain silent are complicit,” Abwerzger told the People’s Party. This applies in particular to Tyrol’s ÖVP chairman and state governor Anton Mattle. He should “finally express himself” – “especially since he always comes with such high moral values, including when it comes to the exclusion of the Tyrolean FPÖ.” Mattle and other ÖVP greats now have to “take a clear position.”: “The time for looking away and disappearing is over.”
