Abu Dhabi, September 15 / WAM / The Abu Dhabi Weightlifting Club announced that it will host an international women’s championship next November, and participate in the Arab National Team Championship in Cairo in 2024, with the presence of 5 of the club’s players, and the African Club Championship in Cairo next month, with the participation of 17 male and female players, and the organization of many… of events, in line with its strategy during the remainder of the fourth quarter of the current year, and the plan scheduled for 2024.
Abdullah Issa Al Zaabi, Chairman of the Club’s Board of Directors, stressed the adoption of best practices to spread the game, enhance the capabilities of the club’s sons and daughters, and empower them with the skills that contribute to spreading the game, achieving global competitiveness, for the benefit of the national teams, and achieving the club’s aspirations to compete in foreign championships, with the support of the Abu Dhabi Council. The athlete.
He explained that the external participations fall within the framework of the technical plan to enhance the practical experiences gained by male and female players, by refining experiences and interacting with advanced clubs at the Arab and African levels.
He added that the club’s primary goal is to qualify 100 male and female players in all categories, at the junior and junior levels, and there are great efforts within the planned plan to open two branches of the club in Al Ain and Al Dhafra, in addition to a new headquarters in Abu Dhabi, and we seek to host an international tournament for men and women in 2024.
