Cairo, October 29 / WAM / Angela Hill, a player from the Abu Dhabi Weightlifting Club, won a gold medal with a weight of (67 kg), as part of her participation in the African Club Championship, which is currently being held in Cairo.
The gold medal came during the honorary participation of the Abu Dhabi Club player in the African Championship, making it the first external medal for the club after its founding.
The gold medal raised the UAE’s tally in the tournament to 5 colored medals (one gold, two silver, and a bronze).
In the rest of the mission’s results, our player Muhammad Hadi came fourth in the 67 kg weight competition, and Munther Al Jasmi came tenth in the same weight competition.
Our player, Mohamed Fathi, will compete tomorrow, Monday, in the weight category (102 kg), while our players, Ezz El-Din Al-Ghafir and Moayed Al-Najjar, will compete in the weight category above (102 kg), at the conclusion of the tournament.
Angela Hill expressed her happiness at achieving the club’s first gold medal, stressing that it will be the beginning of more achievements during the coming period.
