Abu Dhabi, September 10 / WAM / The Abu Dhabi Sports Club women’s team announced the start of its training in the Al Mushrif area in preparation for the new season.
Sarah Hassanein, the team’s coach, stressed the importance of the scheduled preparatory program phase, to enhance the players’ readiness for the competition season, with the support of the Abu Dhabi Sports Council, the club’s board of directors, and the follow-up of Mohsen Mahfouz, member of the board of directors and general manager of the club.
She said, “The achievements achieved by the club last season in the first league competition represent a strong motivation for us, and we thank the Women’s Football Committee of the Football Association for its great efforts to develop women’s football in the country and organize competitions.”
She explained that the club’s junior girls’ teams, under 8 years and 17 years old, have also begun the training phase, under the supervision of specialized cadres, in preparation for the scheduled tournaments, the most important of which is the annual Sheikh Zayed bin Hazza bin Zayed Al Nahyan Football Cup, which is designated for the U-12 categories for locals, and the 14-year-olds for internationals. .
