Abu Dhabi Municipality organizes “Together We Walk” activity

ABU DHABI, 13th March, 2020 (WAM) — The Municipality of Abu Dhabi City, represented by the Municipal Presence Center in Bani Yas, organized the “Together We Walk” event, in cooperation with strategic partners: the Supreme Council for Motherhood and Childhood, the Abu Dhabi Sports Council, the Emirates Foundation for School Education, Sheikh Shakhbout Medical City, and the Mayo Clinic. .

Sheikh Mohammed bin Nahyan bin Zayed Al Nahyan, as part of the delegation of the Children’s Advisory Council, attended and participated in the event, in conjunction with the Emirati Children’s Day, which falls on March 15 of each year, under the slogan “The Right to a Sustainable Environment”.

The event was organized at Basin 2/2 Walkway, adjacent to Al-Azza School, with the participation of the school. The Abu Dhabi Police Musical Band and the Children’s Happiness Patrol also participated in the event.

The program began by gathering in the outdoor playground and performing sports exercises, then the students, accompanied by parents and members of the Children’s Advisory Council, went for a walk in a distinguished sports family atmosphere. Then the students, accompanied by parents, went to the school theater, where Dr. Osama Kamel Ali from the Abu Dhabi Sports Council gave a lecture on the importance of Sports and its effect on brain health.
