The field hospital, which was announced by the UAE Ministry of Defense, received many injured people from the Herat region affected by the earthquake that recently struck northern Afghanistan.
The Emirati field hospital contains a room for evaluating critical cases of the injured, an advanced operating room, and an intensive care room for the cases of wounded women, children, and the elderly who were affected by the earthquake.
A medical team from the Abu Dhabi Department of Health made a field visit to the reference hospital in Herat and the maternity hospital and met with those concerned from the Afghan side to identify the urgent needs and medical shortcomings that the region suffers from.
This humanitarian aid continues within the framework of the UAE’s humanitarian role in helping those affected and afflicted around the world, extending a helping hand to them, and responding to urgent humanitarian issues.
