Abu Dhabi Environment Agency Introduces Strict Measures to Curb Air and Noise Pollution

Abu Dhabi: The Environment Agency has announced plans to curb air pollution and noise pollution in Abu Dhabi. New rules and legislation will be in place to ensure clean air. The Environment Agency is establishing a network and special systems to monitor the quality of the ambient air in Abu Dhabi. The Chairman of the Abu Dhabi Environment Agency Sheikh Hamdan bin Zayed Al Nahyan issued a special order in this regard.

It is the responsibility of all organizations that work and implement projects in Abu Dhabi to ensure air quality. Centers must obtain a special permit from the Environment Agency to operate. Institutions and vehicles will set limits on the amount of waste released into the air. It was decided to introduce similar restrictions on noise pollution as well.

A law will also be introduced to punish those who violate the limits. Yesterday, Abu Dhabi decided to adopt a dark sky policy to avoid light pollution at night. It was decided to control the light that public places and institutions emit at night.
