ABU DHABI, 24 August / WAM / The Abu Dhabi Civil Defense Authority is conducting a series of field visits to a number of educational institutions in various regions of the emirate, with the aim of assessing the readiness of its safety system.
This step comes as an affirmation of its commitment to preserving the integrity of the educational environment and ensuring the provision of a safe learning environment for students and teaching staff that is protected against risks.
The visits focus on ensuring that the requirements and standards of prevention and safety are met, and in particular verifying that the alarm and firefighting system is working efficiently, while examining the fireboxes to ensure their readiness and maintaining their quality, in addition to verifying the safety of the emergency exits and the paths specified for the gathering points.
The authority stressed the importance of educational institutions developing emergency evacuation plans, ensuring the safety of emergency exits, clarifying their paths, and identifying gathering points in emergencies.
And she stressed the need to cooperate with companies accredited by the authority to examine and maintain fire protection equipment and systems, including fireboxes and alarms, to ensure their readiness and effectiveness.
