Liver failure has been threatening the life of (Abu Abd al-Rahman – Afghani – 38 years old) about a year ago, as he contracted hepatitis B, which led to acute liver failure.
The patient is currently in need of a liver transplant, which costs 831,000 dirhams. However, his financial capabilities are very simple.
And medical reports from a hospital in Abu Dhabi confirmed that (Abu Abdul Rahman) needs a liver transplant as soon as possible, so that his life is not endangered.
The report explained that “the patient suffers from severe liver failure, as a result of hepatitis B infection, and that he went to the hospital about a year ago due to severe abdominal pain. As quickly as possible, to save his life.’
A friend of the patient narrated that (Abu Abd al-Rahman) felt pain in his stomach about a year ago, and the inability to eat, so he took him to the nearest private clinic, where the doctor conducted examinations and analyzes, the results of which showed that he had gastritis, so he decided to give him some medicines and painkillers to relieve the pain.
He added that the pain returned to him after a week, with a feeling of severe nausea and the inability to eat or drink water, so he took him to the hospital, only to find that he had acute liver failure.
He said that the doctor emphasized the necessity of expediting a liver transplant for him, so that his life would not be endangered, adding that “the patient’s financial situation is very bad, and he does not have health insurance to cover the costs of his treatment, as he was working as a salesman in a store with a salary of 1,800 dirhams, but he left He has been working since he fell ill, and has become without a source of income, knowing that he is the sole breadwinner for his family, which consists of seven members.
He explained that “disease destroys the body of (Abu Abd al-Rahman), which afflicts his family members with great fear of losing him, and makes them in constant grief over his condition.”
