The actor is expecting his first child and proudly shows pictures of his stomach.
Mena Suvari was told by the doctor that she could not get pregnant due to her age. Then she was 40 and refused to realize that the dream of becoming a mother would never be fulfilled.
Still, she did not understand what was going on when in August last year she suddenly had mood swings and became extra sensitive.
– I was traveling in connection with a filming and just thought I had jet lag. But it was not jet lag. I drove to work every day and remember that I cried and cried, that is – I sat on the highway and sobbed, she tells with a laugh «Entertainment Tonight».
It has not yet dawned on her that she is carrying on a new life.
– It feels completely surreal. I’m so lucky and it feels completely wild. Of all the things I have done in my life, this is the most important.
On Saturday, she posted this photo on Instagram, where she poses with colleague Jack Dylan Grazer (17) at the premiere of “Don’t Tell A Soul”:
Suvari has a due date in March, and she has already revealed that the baby in the womb is a boy.
One week ago, the actress wrote the following declaration of love to her husband Michael Hope, whom she married in 2018, and their unborn child:
«My beloved, you are my whole life. My greatest gifts. I never thought I would find you, and yet I did. So many sacrifices, so many lessons I have learned. You are my heart, Mike Hope, and now your heart is beating inside me in the form of this new person we are going to bring into the world.
She also shares a photo of herself and her husband:
When the doctor realized that the movie star had become pregnant anyway, he is said to have stated according to Suvari that he was happy that she had listened to her own body and not to him.
– It meant so much to hear, because it had been such a difficult time with a lot of doubt and mental breakdown, the 41-year-old explains.
The marriage is the third for Suvari. By the way, the movie star trusted Access recently that the son will be named Christopher Alexander after the husband’s father, who died many years ago.
Suvari really took off in the late 90’s with movies like “American Pie” and “American Beauty”. Since then, she has also made a name for herself in TV series such as “American Horror Story”, “Six Feet Under”, “Chicago Fire” and “American Woman”.
On the movie website IMDb.com The 41-year-old is listed with no less than seven upcoming projects.
