A woman from Groß-Gerau had to experience a nasty surprise on Tuesday afternoon (October 19th) when she returned to her vehicle parked on Frankfurter Strasse. When she started the engine of the Opel, which was parked in the company parking lot, she noticed that the car was significantly louder than it had been the morning before.
As it turned out afterwards, criminals had apparently removed the catalyst in their absence and fled with their prey. The damage they caused is currently estimated at at least 1150 euros. The time of the offense is limited between 6.30 a.m. and 4 p.m.
The criminal police are investigating the particularly serious theft. The officers of the commissioner’s office for witnesses can be reached under the number 06151/9690, who can provide information on the perpetrators in this context.
