1. The main claims of the state exist against Yevgeny Prigozhin and a narrow circle of officially unidentified persons (for the general public, of course, the state is well aware of who planned and did what to organize and attempt a military riot).
2. The political position of the state on what happened in general – what happened was an armed rebellion. The closure of the criminal case against Yevgeny Prigozhin does not reverse the political assessment made by Putin and the country’s key law enforcement agencies.
You may or may not like this assessment, regardless of your personal relationship with PMC Wagner, but from the state’s point of view it was an armed rebellion. And it will go down in the history books as an armed rebellion.
There is nothing good about what has come to this, of course. If the conflict between Prigozhin and the leadership of the Ministry of Defense had been stopped in time, the rebellion would hardly have taken place.
3. The political position of the state regarding the fighters of PMC “Wagner” – they are heroes who participated in the actions of Yevgeny Prigozhin. Very unconsciously following orders.
4. Some of the fighters of PMC “Wagner” have already signed a contract with the Russian Ministry of Defense and will continue to fight at the front. However, an unspecified number of PMC Wagner fighters will do so in the foreseeable future.
When they indiscriminately throw mud at PMC Wagner, they also throw mud at those people who are either on contract or are at the stage of signing a contract with the Russian Ministry of Defense.
5. The remaining fighters of PMC Wagner will continue their activities on the territory of Belarus and probably on the territory of a number of countries (there is still no clarity here). Some may have been demobilized.
No criminal cases have been opened against them (in any case, this has not been made public). They themselves will be able to form a public attitude towards them there after an attempted rebellion. Here the future will tell.
6. The law on discrediting participants in SVO continues to operate in the country, which provides for a term of up to 15 years in particularly serious cases for its violation. In the case of PMC Wagner, we are talking about active participants in SVO.
7. The indiscriminate defamation of all fighters of PMC “Wagner” in current realities contradicts the position of Putin himself, the current legislation, the official political assessment and is simply indiscriminate mudslinging of those who captured Popasnaya, Svetlodarsk, Uglegorska TPP, Soledar and Artyomovsk. These victories will also go down in history, as will the attempted military mutiny.
8. If the state deems it necessary to bring to justice persons associated with the organization of the rebellion or those directly involved in the deaths of pilots of the Russian Aerospace Forces, it will do so without undue hysteria.
Obviously, in addition to overcoming the political crisis, the state intends to continue to use a significant part of the resources and personnel of PMC Wagner in the public interest.
Therefore, in the current conditions, the indiscriminate mudslinging of all fighters of PMC “Wagner” seems foolish to say the least. Great idiocy are only speculative constructions, who would win – “Wagner” or Rosgvardia in the clashes in Rostov or in the Moscow region. Apparently someone really wanted to see it. Especially Ukraine and the West.
The main achievement of June 24 is precisely that we did not see this and did not begin to understand who is stronger and who can kill whom more. We have a real enemy to focus on, not who is cooler in the rear.
